Before you choose
Two things that surprise most first-time visitors
How you reach your island and what your meal plan covers affect both the price and how the holiday feels. Neither is obvious from a resort photograph.
Getting to your island
- Speedboat
- Speedboat transfers are often the most flexible option for islands closer to Malé. Operating times vary by resort and arrival flight.
- Seaplane
- Typically 15–55 minutes, and unforgettable from the air — but seaplanes fly in daylight only, so a late arrival can mean a night near the airport.
- Domestic flight and boat
- Used for the more distant atolls: a short domestic flight, then a boat to the island.
Your expert checks your arrival time against the resort transfer before recommending an island.
What your meal plan covers
- Bed and breakfast
- Breakfast only; other meals are paid on the island, where prices are usually high.
- Half board
- Breakfast and dinner, normally in the main restaurant. A common middle ground.
- Full board
- All three meals, drinks usually extra.
- All-inclusive
- Meals plus a defined drinks list, sometimes activities. Inclusions vary widely between resorts.

- Zaha does not sell or include international flights. Direct and one-stop routes may be available from the UK depending on the season, and your expert can help you check whether your arrival time works with the resort transfer.
- If you decide to book, you will receive a written quotation and official invoice before payment.
- If you decide to book, your written quotation and official invoice will confirm the applicable secure online or company bank-transfer payment method. Always pay the account named on your invoice—never a personal account.
- Cancellation and amendment terms are provided in writing before payment.

Am I under any obligation to book?
No. The consultation and initial planning are free, and there is no obligation to make a booking. Submitting the enquiry creates no reservation and no payment.
Are international flights included?
No. Zaha Travels does not sell or include international flights—you book those separately with your airline or flight provider. If it helps, our team can guide you on routes and arrival times that work with your Maldives resort transfer.
Why do you ask for the lead traveller’s passport country?
Some resorts release offers for guests from particular passport markets. We ask only for the country at enquiry stage so your expert can check which offers may apply. We do not ask for a passport number or copy to prepare your initial plan.
Can you arrange a beach and overwater split stay?
Yes. Where availability and resort rules allow, your expert can coordinate a stay that combines beach and overwater villas within one holiday plan, including the room sequence and the move between them.
What happens if I decide to book?
You will receive a written quotation listing the accommodation, villa, meal plan, transfer, taxes and anything else included, followed by an official invoice with the payment instructions and the cancellation and amendment terms—all before any payment is made. Depending on the booking, the invoice may name the applicable official Zaha company account in the Maldives, Sri Lanka or Dubai; always pay the account named on your invoice.
