Niva Dhigali Maldives occupies the private Dhigali Island in Raa Atoll, one of the Maldives' less-developed northern atolls. The island's distinctive shape and west–east orientation create a natural fish-aggregating effect, drawing pelagic life close to a vibrant house reef that's easily snorkeled from the beach or any overwater villa. It's a scenic 45-minute seaplane flight from Malé — or a domestic flight plus speedboat for those preferring to avoid the seaplane.
