ItalyA slice of paradise This was my second stay at LUX and once again it was a truly special experience. We stayed in August, with wonderful weather, in a beautiful water villa overlooking the crystal-clear sea. The resort is enchanting: the island is large and well equipped, offering many facilities such as a gym, diving center, six restaurants and several bars. The international breakfast was excellent and served in two different restaurants. During our stay we dined almost every evening at Umami, the Japanese restaurant: outstanding food thanks to Chef Jester and impeccable service by Reehaan. I highly recommend trying it. The only aspect that could be improved is the welcome service upon arrival on the island. Apart from that, everything was perfect.

Take a seat at the cobalt blue bar to watch the chef handle a knife with such grace, cutting the freshest fish and seafood into sashimi, nigiri and maki. Kobe beef and Australian lamb are cooked to perfection at the robata grill, while another chef fires up the teppanyaki. Saké fans rejoice–we have 30 or so to pick from, as well as a curated selection of fine Japanese whiskey. Now that’s a way to toast to a fabulous dinner!
