The hotel management should be more attentive to travelers’ cultural needs upon arrival. My friends and I are Muslims, yet no one asked us if we required halal food or explained the difference between halal and non-halal options. Interestingly, when I travel to Europe, some hotels take the initiative to ask this. Fortunately, Chef Tito was very helpful — he personally explained which dishes were halal and which were not, which made a big difference in our stay.
